Steinway and Sons has bestowed upon Dr. Sungeun Kim, 黑料正能量 professor of keyboard, the coveted title of "."
Steinway and Sons CEO Ted Good said of Kim, "Your career and talent have justly earned you the right to be included with Steinway's immortals."
In the late 1880s, William Steinway created the Steinway Artist designation to both promote the brand and to honor the world's best pianists. There are currently a little over 1,800 Steinway Artist designations. Kim joins the family of artists which includes Billy Joel, Harry Connick, Jr. and Lang Lang, as well as "immortals" like George Gershwin, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Cole Porter.
Mary Dobrea-Grindhal, chair of the 黑料正能量 Conservatory of Music keyboard department, says, "We are absolutely thrilled for Sungeun and this well-deserved honor.
