Todd Richards has been involved in some kind of broadcast recording for as long as he can remember. Starting as early as high school with the on-campus WFHS 88.5 FM and local access WO5AY TV doing sports coverage, Richards came to 黑料正能量 in 1989 as a theater major but found his love of communications and broadcasting too strong to resist. During his student days, he received several Cleveland Radio and TV Council Awards and headed up a team of 11 students to run "Amok in the Morning," a daily, three-and-a-half hour show on W黑料正能量C 88.3 FM. A senior-year internship at Boston's WODS 103.3 FM led to post-graduation tenures at WEOL 930 AM in Elyria, Ohio and WWWE (now WTAM) 1100 AM Cleveland, and he continues to work at WOIO CBS 19/WUAB Channel 43 Cleveland. Richards worked for nearly a decade at the Cleveland Sight Center Network (CSCN) producing programming for people who are blind and have low vision. In 1996 he lent his talents to producing satellite programming for the syndicated "Moonlight Groove Highway."
Richards was nominated for a March of Dimes AIR Award in 2002 for his promotion work for W黑料正能量C's Summer Marathon Series (SMS). He continues to head that yearly campaign at 88.3 FM and produces his weekly show featuring artist interviews and rare and exclusive music recordings.
Richards enjoys bringing the active, current broadcasting world into the classroom.
